Blanchard.ai is an AI-powered coaching platform designed to help you develop leadership skills using Blanchard's proven frameworks, including Situational Leadership® II (SLII®). It offers personalized conversations, knowledge assessments, and reflective exercises to support your professional growth.
2. What This Platform Is Not
This platform is not a substitute for:
- Professional therapy, counseling, or mental health services.
- Legal, financial, or medical advice.
- Human Resources processes or formal workplace investigations.
- Certified coaching or mentoring from a licensed professional.
If you are experiencing a crisis, please contact appropriate professional services immediately.
3. Responsible Use
By using Blanchard.ai, you agree to:
- Use the platform for its intended purpose: leadership and professional development.
- Not attempt to manipulate, jailbreak, or misuse the AI system.
- Not input sensitive personal information about others (e.g., employee performance reviews, medical details, or confidential business data).
- Not use the platform to generate content that is harmful, discriminatory, or misleading.
- Report any concerning AI responses using the feedback tools provided.
4. AI Limitations & Transparency
You should be aware that:
- The AI coach is powered by large language models and may occasionally produce inaccurate or incomplete responses.
- Responses are generated based on Blanchard's training content and general leadership knowledge — they are not personalized professional advice.
- The AI does not have memory across separate sessions unless conversation history is explicitly maintained by the platform.
- Blanchard continuously works to improve accuracy and safety, but no AI system is perfect.
5. Your Data & Privacy
- Your conversations are stored securely and associated with your account to provide continuity.
- Your employer (if applicable) may access aggregated usage reports but never individual conversation content.
- We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
- We do not use your individual conversations to train AI models.
- You may export or delete your data at any time through your account settings.

6. Safety Measures
Blanchard.ai includes built-in safety measures:
- The AI will decline to engage with topics outside its scope (medical, legal, HR complaints).
- Crisis detection will redirect you to appropriate professional resources.
- Content guardrails prevent the generation of harmful or inappropriate material.
- All safety interactions are logged for platform improvement.
7. Intellectual Property
- Blanchard's frameworks, content, and methodologies (including SLII®) are proprietary and copyrighted.
- You may use insights from your coaching sessions for personal professional development.
- You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially use Blanchard's proprietary content obtained through the platform.
8. Account Responsibilities
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.
- Blanchard reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
9. Service Availability
- We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
- Scheduled maintenance and updates may temporarily affect access.
- We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice.
10. Limitation of Liability
Blanchard.ai is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Blanchard is not liable for decisions made based on AI-generated coaching responses.
- We do not warrant that the AI's responses will be error-free or suitable for any specific purpose.
- Our total liability is limited to the fees paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms periodically. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
13. User Acceptance
By clicking "I Accept" or continuing to use Blanchard.ai, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Responsible Use guidelines.
